Newsletter 4/2025

Hello dear ballet friends,

I warmly welcome you to the fourth newsletter of the Oremek-Reeves Ballet School in 2025.

School has started again and, thank goodness, ballet lessons are brightening up and enriching our everyday lives.

Our performance at the closing ceremony of the Lantern Festival was a huge success. I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank the Lantern Festival Association for the professional organisation and the excellent and charming presentation.

My students and I particularly enjoyed this performance and gave our all, in front of the dreamlike backdrop of the spa gardens and the enormous audience. Thank you very much for the frenetic applause and the flood of congratulations and messages from the wonderful audience. The atmosphere of our Lantern Festival, the festively decorated spa gardens and the twilight were overwhelming!

On 19th of September at 4.30 p.m., my hip-hop geniuses and ballet students gave a wonderful performance at the family afternoon of the Ober-Eschbach Kerb. Many thanks to everyone who was there and supported us so loudly! There was also a big crowd at our Children's Olympics station.

A huge compliment to the Aale Eschbächer and the entire Kerbeteam for the great organisation! It was wonderful!

On 3rd of November 2025, the ballet school will celebrate its 59th anniversary. We will then start our anniversary year 2026! There will be several events, surprises, extras and, of course, a huge celebration for the 60th anniversary.

We will start on 3 November 2025 with a 12-month countdown. On the 3rd of each month, there will be a special newsletter and a post on social media. You can look forward to it.

Advance sales for ‘Peter Pan’ have already begun and anyone who has not yet purchased tickets can do so conveniently at the Tourist Information Office in our beautiful Kurtheater Bad Homburg (06172/178 3710). Cost: €25 for adults and €15 for children.

Newsletter 3/2025

Hello dear friends of ballet,

Welcome to the third newsletter of the Oremek-Reeves Ballet School in 2025.

Summer vacation at last! It has been a very exhausting and busy time for all of you and you really deserve the vacation/holiday´s.

There is a lot to report since the last newsletter.

Our performance at the Hessentag in Bad Vilbel was a huge success. I'm still speechless and very touched by how many of you turned up and how loud the applause was. Many thanks to you! Also, a big thank you to all the helpers, you did a wonderful job!

My students and I enjoyed this performance to the full. It was a great challenge not knowing the stage or the conditions in advance. Once again, a big compliment to all the participants, you did a fantastic job. I am very proud of everyone!

We gave a lot of people a great deal of pleasure with our performance. The frenetic applause and the flood of congratulations and messages (from complete strangers who watched our performance by chance) was overwhelming. Many thanks for that too!

I am delighted to announce that a member of my RCC (Reading and Coordination Club) came second in the Accadis International School's reading competition for non-native speakers! Congratulations dear Bade!

I am thrilled, proud and delighted that my concept has been such a great success so soon after its launch.

There will be new courses from August.
(Module 1. and 2. from 26th of August 2025 to 30th of September 2025) You can already register for these now.

Please continue to check my homepage and social media, where I will keep you up to date with further offers.

Our ballet literature week was a complete success. The variety of books, texts, booklets and CDs was enormous and there was a lot of reading, dancing, swapping and analyzing.

Due to the high praise from my wonderful parents, we will be repeating the Ballet Literature Week soon.

Preparations for our performance at the Lantern Festival (Laternenfest) on September 1st (approx. 7.30 pm) are almost complete.

True to this year's motto “The little lantern travels around the world”, my ballet school will meet the little lantern in fiery Spain, the mystical Orient and the colorful Netherlands.

My students and I feel very honored to be part of our wonderful lantern festival (Laternenfest) and are looking forward to it like crazy!

From September, there will also be new courses for the ballet pre-class from the age of 3. In a 30-minute sequence in room 2, motor skills, coordination and a sense of rhythm will be trained and the children will be introduced to the big and magical world of ballet in a sensitive and professional way. You are welcome to register for a trial lesson now via e-mail. Of course, the lessons are bilingual (German and English).

Preparations for Peter Pan are progressing very well - despite Hessentag, Lantern Festival (Laternenfest), etc.). The stage set has already been designed and will be completed in the next few days. The costumes have also all been designed and will be completed by October. Here, too, there will be one or two spectacular costumes 😊

Newsletter 2/2025

Hello dear friends of ballet,

I would like to welcome you to the second Ballet School Oremek-Reeves newsletter in 2025.

I hope you all had a great and relaxing holiday and a wonderful Easter with your loved ones. There is a lot to report since the last newsletter.

Preparations for our performance at the Hessentag in Bad Vilbel on Thursday 19th of June 2025 (Corpus Christi) from 3.30 pm to 4.00 pm (15.30 Uhr bis 16.00 Uhr are in full swing.

My students and I feel very honoured to have been invited by the Hessentag Committee to represent our beautiful town of Bad Homburg at the Hessentag in Bad Vilbel on Thursday, 19th of June 2025 (Corpus Christi) from 3.30 pm to 4.00 pm (15.30 Uhr until 16.00 Uhr). I received the invitation email at the beginning of January 2025 and have been busy planning, preparing, choreographing and rehearsing ever since.

With ‘Ballet Magic of Fairy Tales’ (Ballettzauber der Märchen), my students and I are presenting the audience with one of the biggest and world-famous export hits of our beautiful Hesse region: the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm.

We offer the audience a compilation of the best-known and regionally based fairy tales from Mother Hulda to Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty.

The Brothers Grimm themselves conjure up the characters from a large book of fairy tales and thus demonstrate the wide range of ballet and dance. Classical, neoclassical ballet and hip hop will be performed.

We look forward to your visit and your support on Thursday, 19th of June 2025 (Corpus Christi) from 3.30 pm to 4.00 pm (15.30 Uhr to 16.00 Uhr) in Bad Vilbel.

We will keep you up to date via social media.

Preparations are also underway for our literature week. There will be a summer special with publications and pictures in July/August. We are excitingly looking forward to it! 😊

From September 2025 onwards, there will be some new courses due to the great demand. Bollywood Dance’ will be added as an extension to the existing course system. This wonderful mixture of classical Indian dances, folk styles such as Bhangra and Garba, as well as Western influences from jazz, Salsa or hip hop is not only entertainment, but also an expression of culture, joie de vivre and storytelling. Anyone interested in this dynamic, colourful and creative dance style is welcome to secure a place now.

Currently, all hip hop courses are still fully booked and there is a waiting list.

The good news is that there will be new hiphop classes for children aged 6 to 9 on Saturdays from September on. Melina and Johanna are really looking forward to making room 2 shake with you. You can already put your name on the waiting list for future courses via e-mail.

From September 2025 onwards, there will also be new courses for the ballet pre-class from the age of 3. In a 30-minute sequence in room 2, motor skills, coordination and a sense of rhythm will be trained and the children will be introduced to the big and magical world of ballet in a sensitive and professional way. You are welcome to register now for a trial lesson by e-mail. Of course, these classes are bilingual as well. (German and English).

My new project ‘Reading & Coordination Club’ (RCC) will start on Tuesday, 29th April 2025 from 4.10 pm to 4.55 pm (16.10 Uhr to 16.55 Uhr) in room 2.

In order to read and/or learn to read, we use the already existing ‘circuits’ in our brain and adapt them anew.

This is where the RCC programme I have developed can provide support. Reading and learning behaviour can be improved through targeted reading and coordination exercises to cognitively stimulating music, making it easier for children to learn to read and read fluently. You are welcome to pre-register for the next module from August 26th to September 30th 2025.

For more news and updates, you can follow me on social media. Pictures and information are regularly shared here.  (Instagram: ballettschuleoremekreeves & Facebook: Ballettschule Oremek-Reeves and of course in my WhatsApp status)

Newsletter 1/2025

Hello dear friends of ballet,

I would like to welcome you to the first ballet school newsletter in 2025.

There is a lot to report.

The hip hop classes are currently full and there is a waiting list. However, new courses are already being planned and you can easily add your name to the waiting list for current or future courses via email.

The carnival week was a complete success and we had a lot of fun together. Princesses, unicorns, Anna, Elsa, butterflies, cats and fairies danced the duck dance together and made the ballet hall shake with stop dancing.

From March onwards, an additional training session for 8 to 10-year-olds will be offered on Tuesdays from 5 to 6 p.m. in room 2. This is a great opportunity for all diligent ballet dancers to deepen their knowledge and learn new combinations and movement sequences. Our dear Vicky will be leading the training and is really looking forward to seeing you.

There will also be another group for 5 to 6-year-old ballet beginners from March onwards. Fridays from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm, motor skills, coordination and a sense of rhythm will be trained in Room 1. Our dear Vicky will lead the training and introduce you to the big and magical world of ballet sensitively and professionally. Of course, this will be done bilingually (German and English).

The new training schedule is already online and you can get an overview of all the new courses.

Things are also progressing very well with my version of "Peter Pan". You can see the poster and the pre-announcement text on my homepage and the event page of the Kurtheater Bad Homburg very soon and make a note of it. Safe the date and fly with us to Neverland on Saturday, 6 December 2025 at 4 p.m. and on Sunday, 7 December at 11 a.m.!

Of course, I will keep you up to date on this.

Now I wish you a foolish time and enjoy the wonderful carnival to the fullest.

See you soon!!!

Your Jasmin
